Maya Yoga Teacher Training Programs
The Maya Yoga Teacher Training program encompasses five levels of trainings. Levels 1 & 2 meet the requirements for the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified training. Levels 3, 4, & 5 meet the requirements for hours towards Yoga Alliance 500 hour certification. These levels do not have to be taken sequentially, however in order to receive Maya Yoga Teacher Certification you must complete all five levels (1000 documented hours), required courework, and pass both a practical and written exam. Maya Yoga is the un-system. In these trainings you will learn the principles and techniques from many different yogic traditions in order to make you a fantastically effective yoga teacher.

Beginning the Path of Teaching with Vinyasa Yoga (200-hr)

Strengthen your personal practice and refine your teaching credentials with this Yoga Alliance accredited foundational training that focuses on Vinyasa Yoga!
Developing as a Teacher with Maya Yoga Vinyasa Fusion : 500 hr part 1
Jul 3 – 22, 2011 :: Maui, HI
This is a continuing education training where you will receive half of the hours towards the Yoga Alliance 500 hour accreditation. You must have a 200 hour certificate to apply to this training and have been teaching for at least 1 year. Students will learn how to teach a challenging vinyasa class in a safe and alignment oriented manner.
Realizing Your Potential as a Teacher with Maya Yoga : 500 hr part 2
Aug 7 – 26, 2011 :: Maui, HI
This is a continuing education training where you will receive half the hours towards the Yoga Alliance 500 hour accreditation. You must have a 200 hour certificate to apply to this training and have been teaching for at least one year. This training will help you to realize your potential as an inspiring yoga teacher.
Becoming a Great Teacher : Maya Yoga Continuing Studies
No training sessions scheduled at this time.
This training is designed to provide further studies to teachers with a 500 hour YA accreditation as well as for students interested in becoming Maya Yoga Certified. Anyone applying to this training must have previously completed a Yoga Alliance 500 hour teacher training, completed at least one other Maya Yoga training, and have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

200 Hour Maya Yoga Teacher Training at Westside Yoga Studio
Sep 24 – 26, 2010 :: Sebastopol, CA
Oct 26 – 31, 2010 :: Sebastopol, CA
An extended course spread over 6 months in Sebastopol, CA. The training will commence May 26th, 2010 with a 1 week intensive which will be followed by 1 weekend a month for 4 consecutive months and ends with another 1 week intensive in October 2010. 200 Hour Yoga Alliance certified.

Cancellation Policy:

Maya Yoga reserves the right to cancel any teacher training or asana intensive if there are fewer than 15 participants registered two-weeks prior to the event start date. Upon cancellation, all deposits will be returned in full. These trainings are very popular so this should not be an issue.Student cancellation is covered on the payment and registration page.

Asana Intensive Programs at Maya Yoga
Price: $300/week or $1000 for all four Intensive Programs
Daily Schedule: Sunday – Friday from 8:00 am -12:00 pm
Accommodations: You are required to find your own lodging

Practice in paradise for one week or stay for the full month of yoga heaven. Classes will be strong so please be prepared to focus your energy. Please bring your own water and a small towel. All intensives are open to all levels of students, except for the Advanced Maya Yoga Intensive, for which you must receive permission from Nicki and Eddie to attend. Pre-registration is required for all sessions, there are no daily drop-in classes. Afternoons are free to explore the island.
